September 2, 2013 at 6:23 pmI just started graduate school, so I actually used the long weekend to go back home to Milwaukee, WI so I could attend the 110th Harley Davidson Festival, which was absolutely fantastic.
…I spent actually labor day returning to school, so that wasn’t that much fun, hah.

September 2, 2013 at 6:23 pmWell I painted our mudroom, went to church, went for a picnic, got 2 weeks worth of snacks for school ready, made chocolate zucchini loaf, chocolate chip cookies, helped someone move and that’s about it! Always looking for more easy recipes to shorten the time to make snacks, dinner etc for my kids. After years of doing this for 7 kids! im down to 3!

September 2, 2013 at 6:29 pmI work at the local shelter here in my city. Even tho it is a holiday, the animals don’t know that, and still require our care to keep them happy and healthy. I work with the cats, so I gave them all just a little bit extra canned food to celebrate. I only worked a half day, then came home took a nap, played some facebook games, and caught up on my shows and movies. Relaxing before I have to get up and do it all over again tomorrow! It’s not really a job when you enjoy what you do!! Meow, meow!! <3

September 2, 2013 at 6:33 pmIt was the first football game for our sleepy little college town. But it was far from sleepy this weekend. First Friday parade, dinner with friends, attend ESPN Game Day show broadcast, tailgate before game, attend game (which included a victory for my team!), tailgate more before finally leaving and getting home at 3:15 AM. Sunday was nothing but rest and breakfast with one daughter and ice cream with the other. Today was work and finally a soccer game to cap off a very busy, but completely awesome weekend. Perfect in every way!

September 2, 2013 at 7:04 pmWe moved our four month old daughter from the cosleeper next to our bed to her crib in her own room. Also did five loads of laundry, cleaned the spit up stains that have been on the floor for three days, polished off the last of a container of trader joes turbinado sugar and sea salt chocolate covered almonds, went for walks in our beloved neighborhood with Miss Monkeypants (our daughter) and guzzled espresso to recover from the 2 am, 4 am, 6 am crying. Now settling down to watch Breaking Bad on Netflix. π
