Happy Labor Day!

IMG_0178Because it’s Monday….and because my baby slept longer than 4 hours last night, and because I love you AND because it happens to be a long weekend, I’m giving away 3 hard copies of my cookbook! Hooray!

All you need to do to enter is tell me what you did over your Labor Day weekend in the comments below. That’s it!

    Shopped Labor Day sales, watched football, went to an end of summer cookout anf then had to go to a strength class and zumba to work off all the food I ate at the cookout! Grouted my first mosaic piece!

    oh i went with my gf’s to the blueberry festival which was a gas, then sunday to a family party–i made football whoopie pies (so yum) and oreo krispie treats. thanks for the chance to win!

    I’m a teacher that just started the school year last week. I, joyfully, spent the weekend doing lesson plans, perfecting new ideas for the classroom, making a new recipe, and enjoying the extra day off to be able to do those things!!!

    Spent Sat. getting my “baby girl” married off…I DID ALL THE FOOD! Whew! Glad I only have ONE girl! Rested on Sunday and visited w/ family….watched tv and cleaned on Monday (and ate some of the wedding leftovers πŸ™‚ !

    Saturday and Sunday tried to kick a cold that was creeping up on me my little boy…rest and orange juice did the trick! And spent Labor Day with family for a cookout! Yummy!

    Went for a motorcycle ride with a bunch of friends, ending at a kite festival on Lake Michigan.

    The biggest and most important thing I did this weekend is start my health-improvement plan. I need to get fit, lose weight and exercise. Today was the first day and it went great! Day by day is all I can do.

    We had a landscaping crew put in a retaining wall. So we stayed out of their way, but watched the progress with excitement! Oh, and we hung out with good friends!

    We went to a school family camp to get ready for the new school year. Lots of fun until the almost kindergartener melted down on the way home.

    We spent most of the weekend doing house organization and buying our toddler a bed but today I made a smores pie and had friends and their 11 month old over for lunch.

    Was dying to go camping and go 4 wheeling..got to the mountains and it was hot and dusty lots of bees swarming around; got stung by one..ouch..supposed to be warm at night it drop to the 30s..so was cold all night couldn’t sleep..so hot and dusty the next day 4wheeling was no fun..went home early..should of went to the fair & ate tiger ears but it rained most of the day πŸ™

    Food shopping Saturday (a madhouse!), Sunday, had birthday cake with sister in law, that’s about it. Today, we had a Thanksgiving type of meal instead of cooking out…had a turkey we needed to use. Good thing too, it rained nearly all day!

    Cleaning, home improvement projects, and watching the rain (a rare sight in AZ). Lauren- I am so happy for your success doing what you love! You are such an inspiration to me! If I don’t win a recipe book, I will have to order one.

    Attended a baby shower on Saturday, had friends over for a BBQ on Saturday night, attended a wedding on Sunday, and today we went on a short hike!

    I spent the weekend with my family in North Myrtle Beach, SC. The last time we had been there was when my 14 year old was 1 year old. So it was nice to go back with her and our 10 year old!

    Had a fanstastic 4 hours of alone time at an outlet mall on Friday… first time in a VERY long time. Saturday my husband and I took our boys (9 months and almost 3) to a tailgating party, had a relaxing day on Sunday and went to the zoo today! A full weekend… with more crazy days ahead! Love your blog!

    I spent this Labor Day weekend with four of my closest friends who all came into town to throw me the most wonderful bachelorette party. It was the most fun weekend that I have had in a long time!

    Was so excited to go camping & 4 wheeling, got to the mountains tried to set up camp and was swarmed by bees, loaded up to go to another camp site & got stung by a bee, ouch…then it got so cold at night about froze and couldn’t sleep, next day was so hot and dusty 4-wheeling wasn’t any fun, so we packed up and went home early..should of went to the fair and had tiger ears but it rained..need a new weekend :}

    tried a new restaurant with friends in the city, worked then stayed in, got take out and watched movies…kept it pretty low key. And today I spent my afternoon cooking! πŸ™‚

    We had 3 families from our church over for a BBQ Sunday night. The kids had a water balloon fight and we had ice cream sundaes for dessert.

    Well I worked most of it, either on things around the house or actual work I get paid to do BUT today my husband, daughter and I went shopping for a crib for our first grandchild. Very special day!

    Saturday I picked my dad up from the hospital afterhe had a heart attack. Spent Sunday catching up on sleep and recipe planning heart healthy meals. Today was housework and a dinner with thefamily. All in all a eclectic weekend that I need another vacation to recover from πŸ™‚

    I spent the day with my son and husband hanging out and relaxing…..then we headed to a local pizza place to celebrate the last day of summer break with yummy pizza, breadsticks, and salad πŸ™‚

    My husband and I went to Frankenmuth (Michigan’s Little Bavaria) on Saturday and had a blast! Sunday we went metal detecting and today we had a nice lunch out after he came back from playing golf. Lovely long weekend, indeed! πŸ™‚

    I helped my husband split and stack firewood, from trees that we had taken down as they were a danger to our house. Made clam chowder on Friday,from razor clams we dug this past Spring on the Washington coast, took our 89 year old cousin to church, baked some Snickerdoodles, and made some Smokey Pork Fajitas for dinner tonight πŸ™‚

    Took my 4 year old to Planes, shopping & lots of outside play – sending him to preschool Tuesday for the 1st time! :,(
