Pregnancy Update {Weeks 24 & 25}

So, turns out time is flying by! Funny how that works….

Anyways, here are a few things going on with my pregnancy worth noting:

– No matter how much I sleep, I feel exhausted. Probably because I’m getting really uncomfortable and can never seem to fall asleep. Surrounding myself with pillows seems to do the trick. Or sleeping on the couch. I can lie against the side so I’m tilted up AND I figured out if I face the couch, my belly gets supported by the back. Sleeping on the couch is a last resort.
– Oh, and I need to sleep tilted up because this little dude is seriously killing my lung capacity.
– Overall I’ve gained 16 1/2 pounds. Considering I’m almost to my 3rd trimester {and gained 50 pounds in my first pregnancy}, I think I’m doing well. The doctors told me I should only gain 15, but lets be real. I’m a food blogger who likes to eat. If I gain less than 50, I’ll be happy!
– Things are getting puffy. My ankles especially.
– My lower back is starting to be achy, but I think that has to do with the painting we’re doing and me picking up and holding my *almost* 4 year old a lot.
– I crave cold cereal, grapefruit, chocolate covered strawberries and burgers. And occasionally spaghetti.
– My whole lower half has started to spread. Hips, butt and thighs are getting bigger! When I was 7 months pregnant the first time around, my husband was watching me get dressed and said “Your butt is really big”. YEAH. We’re getting to that point again! Luckily I weigh at least 30 pounds less than I did then! Of course he denies this completely.

Things to look forward to:

-finishing the nursery! We’re done all the painting {thank goodness} but have to expand the closet and install the crown molding and of course get some little odds and ends like picture frames and new bedding before it’s completely done.
-my glucose test is next week. I’m soooo not looking forward to this!
-My third trimester is just around the corner! Time to get super uncomfortable now. Haha!
-figuring out a name for this little guy! Gordon and I had our list of names, but can’t decide on ANY of them so we’re starting fresh…hoping to find one we both can agree on. Luckily we have a few more weeks to figure that out!
-I’m really hoping this baby is early or right on time. That little girl of mine came right on her due date, believe it or not! Pipe dream, perhaps but a girl can dream, right?
-And of course I’m getting anxious to see what this baby is going to look like in person! His profile from the 2nd ultrasound we had was just the cutest thing ever but is he going to have a ton of hair {like me} or come out bald {like Gord?} OR is he going to have any of my facial features or be a mini dad? I have so many questions that cannot possibly be answered until I hit 40 weeks and am approximately the size of a watermelon.

Where can I find grey or navy chevron blankets? I’m also looking for white and grey blankets with elephants on them, similar to one I found at Pottery Barn. I love Pottery Barn stuff…just not their prices! Ouch…

I’m looking for cute baby art for the walls in the nursery. Maybe animals or the alphabet? Do you know any crafty etsy people or stores that have something cute? Let me know! Links are welcome!
