Merry Christmas, friends! Since I can’t exactly send you all a Christmas card, I thought I would share it here 🙂 This year has been a doozie for my little family! Lots of crazy-awesome-ridiculous things happened in 2013 including: adding another member to our family, remodeling our kitchen and publishing my ebook all at the same time {!!!} while still somehow staying sane….I think.
We are so grateful for all you loyal readers. You are so supportive and make me want to keep blogging and developing recipes. I love talking with you all on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and all the other forms of social media I have. Keep those comments coming!

December 23, 2013 at 11:16 pmYou’re making us choose?! The gingerdoodles are certainly a favourite in this household. Being an Aussie, I love trying my hand at your recipes. In fact, I’m really intrigued by all these sweet desserts with pumpkin! They sound great, but you only ever see pumpkin here in Australia in savoury dishes…. What are we missing out on? 🙂

December 24, 2013 at 12:16 amI must admit…up until recently I would’ve said your Strawberry Avocado Kale Salad with Poppyseed Dressing was hands down my favorite…So simple yet so delicious with a good steak… But then I remembered your Banana Pancakes (which happened to be the very first recipe I tried) LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the wheat flour, and then I thought if I was going that route I must say that I do Love your Egg Nog Rice Krispy Treats (and so does my family and the Soldiers at my unit… I had none to spare 🙁 ;-D ) I hope my failure to just pick one doesn’t disqualify me from the drawing. Win or Lose… Thank you so much for what you do and I hope you and your family have a wonderful Joyous Holiday!!!

December 24, 2013 at 12:17 amI found you through people’s pins on pinterest. I’m REALLY happy you recently posted a recipe for a lifelong favorite cookie of mine- “Candy Cane Crinkle Cookies” and I can’t wait to make them at some point over the next few days. I love the pics you post of the recipes you share and everything looks wonderful. I have to say- If I spent time baking instead of pinning- I could feed the townspeople. lol I haven’t made a recipe yet- I’ve made similar or modified versions.

December 24, 2013 at 12:38 amThe mushroom risotto was simply awesome. I’ve always been afraid to make risotto at home because it seemed too difficult and too easy to mess up. Your recipe looked and sounded too good to pass up so I decided to give it a try. After much fretting, it turned out great. I added fresh peas and shrimp to make it a main course, and everyone really enjoyed it. Thanks for posting a recipe so good it got me over my risotto cooking fears!
