Saturday Things….

March 24, 2012

This Saturday things is starting to stick…and I kinda like it. Hope you do to! 🙂

1. This morning, I went for a run. A long one.

My thighs feel like they’re on fire.

2. While on said run, I came to “hill road”. No explanation needed.

Thus solves the ‘thighs on fire’.

3. Some of the most popular recipes on my blog this week have been lasagna rolls, no bake granola bars, fail-proof pizza dough and my cinnabon cinnamon rolls. Just thought you should know.

4. Speaking of cinnamon rolls, doesn’t one sound amazing right about now? And by one I mean six.

5. My calves hurt now too…..seriously? UGH. My body is like mocking me.

6. I  need a spray tan. At least I think I do. I’ve never had one before, but I assume I’d like it. I’ve never been one to object to a little bronzing.

7. When I’m rich and famous, I think I’ll have a live in masseuse. That would be awesome.

8. My daughter likes to test boundaries. A lot. {Read: she never listens.} Parenthood just got 10x more interesting. I’m taking bets on whether she will live to her 4th birthday.

I’m half kidding.

9. I think it’s hilarious when people leave comments on giveaways that have closed last year. They clearly say “giveaway has ended” but they think there’s still a shot. Good luck, buddies.

10. One of these days I’m going to write out a nice lovey dovey post about my husband and I getting together. You can read a little bit here, but expect more in the next installments. I like being mushy sometimes.

11. I still have that Usher song in my head. I think I’m going on two weeks. I hate it but I love it. You can listen/watch it here.

12. This is also by Usher…and so hilarious.

You just made me laugh out loud about 10 times in this post. Thanks, I needed that. I will pray for your daughter, if you pray for my son. He may not live past his 2nd birthday. I’m half kidding. ;o) Sorry, though, I draw the line at Usher. Heehee!

I had to laugh about #8, okay to be honest I chuckled to myself a whole lot about a number of items. Yep been there, done that times 3!! Just so you know I think you’ll make it…. our eldest is 18, graduates in May, and leaves for bootcamp early December, the middle is almost 16 (there are still days where I wonder if he will make it to 16…) and the youngest is almost 13. but I have to admit there are times when I miss them being little.

I googled spray tanning the other day after throwing on shorts and a tank top in the weird 80 degree weather we were having and almost blinded myself in the mirror. There are none within a 30 minute drive of my house unfortunately. For me and for those on the bike trail that need sunglasses as I run by them.

Haha! My daughter and your daughter sound similar. Mine turns two next week. We’ll see see if she makes it also! And I hate hills. They KILL me. I’ve been running for a while and they never get easier and I never adjust to them…A cinnamon roll sounds really good. 6 definitely sounds better. Hope you aren’t too terribly sore tomorrow!

I understand your legs being sore. I went for a long run on Thursday, and my legs are still sore. The entire leg! And I have to go for a run now before it gets too hot. Ugh. Why can’t it be easy?? I think I need to go enter one of your contests real quick. Sounds like I have a nice chance of winning!
