Another year gone by! Another year I didn’t send out Christmas cards. Oops!
But this is my “in lieu of a Christmas card” blog post to recap 2016. What a year it was!

In 2016:
I had a baby and fell in love all over again with his big eyes, tons of hair and overall cuteness! His name is Edward, but we call him Eddie. As you can see, he’s not so little anymore.
Brooke turned SEVEN, Blake turned THREE and we are a month away from Eddie turing ONE! Holy Smokes!!
We sold our first home in Portland to move to our dream home in Boise. We still miss Oregon, but love Idaho so much. The kids are thrilled with all the snow! {I am not.}
We got a trampoline!
Gordon turned THIRTY ONE and I’m a few days away from that lovely number too.
We paid off all of our debts. That was a good feeling to have!! God definitely helped us reach that goal for sure.
Brooke finished first grade and started second grade like a pro! Already reading at a 4th grade level. Amazing!
Blake started preschool in the Fall and is so excited to count down the days until he can go back again.
Gordon graduated with his Master’s Degree!! {So proud!!}
My blog turned 7 years old and I sometimes still can’t believe that this is what I do for a living. So grateful to have wonderful readers like you!
I was able to travel to The Redwoods, Maui, Oahu and NYC!!
Gordon and I celebrated NINE years of marriage and we’re still going strong.
I’m close to 700,000 Facebook friends online. So many people!!
I’ve started making food and family videos and totally love them!! See them here, here and here. More coming soon!
In 2017:
My kids continue to get older. *sigh*
I’ll keep cooking {and eating!!} here on the blog, while sharing the fun nuts and bolts of life in between.
We will probably be moving…again!! A certain someone landed his dream job, so we will be heading East! More details to come in the upcoming months.
We are SO nervous, but SO excited.
2017, here we come!
xoxoxo
The Brennan Family

Oh Eddie!! Such a party pooper.

He is seriously the cutest.

Blake is really concerned about the Polar Express. Ha!

December 25, 2016 at 1:36 pmI am a great grandmother but I so enjoy your blog. I appreciate the fact that is so real and doesn’t have to use bad language to get attention like some I have read. As a grandmother of ten and a great grandmother of 8 so far I do agree that Eddie is the cutest little kid I have ever seen!!
