Baby Update: 5 months old!

This little guy is just over 5 months old! Like I mentioned is my last baby post, time is certainly flying by and we are trekking along. Here are some interesting facts about my Blake-man.

-He’s getting cuter. This is such a Mom-thing to say, but I think in this special circumstance it’s totally true.

-His long stretch of sleep is getting longer! We’re up to almost 8 hours! It’s glorious {if I go to bed around the same time he does}!! He is also a side sleeper. If we lay him down on his back, he wakes up immediately BUT if we roll him onto his side, he falls right back to sleep. It’s like magic.

-He is getting used to rice cereal. We don’t feed him this everyday, but when we do, he likes it. I think he mostly just likes playing with the spoon, but whatever. He also still looks longingly at anyone who is eating real food.

-He is babbling a lot more, like he’s trying to talk to us and tell us something specific. He even has an angry babble! He rarely cries because I pay attention to the angry babbles. If he goes unnoticed, then he’ll start to cry.

-He’s exclusively in 6 month clothing and he even fits a few 9 month outfits!! YIKES. #bigboy

-He is grabbing his toes more and more and seems to be quite the flexible boy.

-His thighs and feet are the most ticklish parts of his body, but when I do tickle him he laughs and then immediately cries. I think he has a love-hate relationship with tickling. {As do I. Except I mostly just hate it.}

-He likes tummy time a lot more now that his head and neck are strong. Next stop- sitting up by himself!! Holy smokes, what a crazy milestone! Before I know it, he’ll be crawling around, getting into everything. I’m excited and terrified for this day.

-He likes his car seat for approximately 20 minutes. Anymore than this, he starts up with his angry babbles like he’s saying “get me the blank outta here!”

Overall, he’s a healthy lil’ champ!! We love our Blake-man!
