I love being able to look back on my blog and see what my family has been up to. Many of you do not know that I have a personal blog where I document most of my kids’ happenings and exciting milestones. Well, for the last 3 years, that blog has been completely neglected. I hate not having stuff documented, so I’m going to do my best to record our lives on this, the Family page! Follow along, or skip it all together. I’m just doing this for me, but feel free to comment and enjoy!

On Monday, a production crew came to my house and film me making a recipe. I’m so excited to see the finished product! I would LOVE to do this as my career. I loved everything about it. {Hey Food Network, give me a little ring a ding π }
Took this girl out for doughnuts the other day just her and I. This was my favorite shot of the day by far!
Starting to get back into shape…it’s tough!! This sort of shows my progress. I’m mostly just trying to tone up and loose the last 7 lbs or so.Β
Gordon started as a Project Management Assistant recently. He now works on average 11 hours a day. I don’t see him a whole lot, but I don’t let it bother me because I know this position will lead to bigger and better things. I am amazed at how hard he works at home, at work, at church and in the military. He is so dedicated in all four areas and does his best in each. I married well.Β
This little dude makes my heart melt….
Β even if his sleeping patterns were a little rocky for a few weeks. Actually, I started forcing him to take naps in the day because he was SO MISERABLE and after two days or so, this amazing sleep schedule fell into place. 1 short nap in the morning {45 minutes or so}, 1 long nap in the afternoon {2-3 hours}, 1 short nap around dinner time {30-45 minutes} and then bed at 8 pm. He will sleep 8-8, but wakes up around 1:30 and 5:30 for feedings. If he’s tired, I can now just put him down in his bed and he’ll go right to sleep. Almost no fussing! π Score.
Totally loving these photos I snapped the other day. I’m still getting used to photoshop, but I’m loving how these turned out!

Speaking of losing the last little bit of weight….I’m trying to bake gluten free with just natural sugars {maple syrup, honey, etc.} These doughnuts turned out really well! I have to tweak them a bit more but then they’ll be all ready to post up on the blog.
Love this picture. Blake loves his sissy!! He also loves books and being read to.
The end.

August 24, 2013 at 3:30 pmTwo questions: 1- ever think of applying for “The Next Food Network Star”? π
2- So my second kiddo is exactly a week younger than Blake.:) Is he taking all of his naps in his crib? I’m ready to start doing the crib more often, but just found out he has reflux and I’m sensitive about letting him fuss with the possibility of throwing up! My first baby had such bad reflux, she wasn’t in her crib until 7 months! Just looking for any tips. π

August 25, 2013 at 1:10 amMy kids are grown, but I’m still jealous,,,,,,…
My daughter never napped more than a half hour unless I was driving (and she didn’t sleep through the night for 18 months)! My son was much easier………but he never slept like your son. Though, I will say, if I was driving around he would just keep sleeping for hours!
